ABOUT ME

I'm a independent filmmaker based in Amsterdam. After graduating from the Dutch Film and Television Academy in 2002 as a producer I chose the creative side and started working as a freelance cameraman, editor and director on various projects for different clients.

In 2004 I met Alistair Overeem and together we created the documentary Demolition Men about his career as a professional MMA fighter and his run in the 2005 PRIDE GRAND PRIX. The documentary premiered at the International Documentary and Film Festival (IDFA) in 2006. Next to my personal documentary project I created various work for ID&T, Dutch TV networks and various add agencies working on ad campaigns for TV and online.

Driven by independance and creative freedom I continued to work on private projects which resulted in the follow up to "Demolition Men": THE REEM, a unique online documentary project in the early days of youtube and vimeo, which ran for multiple years and resulted in 3 seasons documenting the life and times of fighter Alistair Overeem across the globe. The series was widely acclaimed within the sport of professional fighting and resulted in more indepenedent documentary work for Fighter Tyrone Spong and later DJ and Producer Martin Garrix, which online show is still running gathering millions of views on youtube. With more than 15+ years of documentary experience in the field, I've created a unique style over the years that creates a strong bond between the subject of the story and his audience, making every piece of content something very special.
